Many Ottawa families are members of community organizations and neighborhood groups that could help get the word out to families on how to know their costs and work together to cut their costs, emissions, and risks.
Universities
Ottawa has several nationally-recognized universities whose faculty and students could help families understand their costs and support measures to reduce them.
Urban, Suburban, and Rural
Ottawa has diverse "segments" of families that would help test the Families Cutting Costs app --such as downtown condo towers, urban neighborhoods along Bank Street., Richmond Road, and Main Street. There are outlying distinct neighborhoods with diverse demographics -- Orleans, Kanata, and Barrhaven. Yet, there are also rural hamlets on the outskirts.
